Kitchen – 1:6 Scale Style

Prettie Girl (aka Rocsi Nwosu) was introduced on my blog a year ago. (Yikes! A year in the doll bin!) I thought I better make the wait worthwhile so finally got around to providing her with a place to call her own. J It’s probably not obvious, but lots of my dollies have places they call their own, which necessitates the need to economize. L

Rocsi will now demonstrate her economical repainted Kid Connection Kitchen J (found at Walmart for $20.00).

More photos of Rocsi’s Trinidad & Tobago hut can be found at Roville

Cheers!

  1. Hi there!
I like the way the scale is much more suitable than Mattel products. The fridge is actually taller than her even with her beautiful hair!
Now I have to scoot over to see more about that really cool furniture!
    Thanks!

    1. Hi grandmommy! I made the sofa and chair using foamcore and embossed shelf liner. The Gehry wiggle chair is a cheapie reproduction of a Vitra mini (about $130) that I picked up years ago for $19. Thanks for checking it out!

    1. Thanks, Vanessa. I know you understand the importance of inexpensive makeovers since you have the same challenges as me (sooooo many little folks to create homes for). ㋡

    1. Thanks so much GG, so glad you like it. ㋡ The beauty of inexpensive sets like that is one can use bold colors even though it tends to eliminate versatility.

  8. I love how you've created an airy and bright space for Rocsi. It suits her.

I'm curious where she will stay when she visits Roville. Looking forward to her meeting Buffy. That's going to be a powder keg meeting ;-)

    1. She’s advertised her Trini home on Airbnb so I think her plan is to stay in Roville. But I’m worried about her should her deceit be discovered. (◐.̃◐)
