DG London Calling Hommes

Cruz and Kyu arrived before I left for my appointment on Friday. Yay! Even though I was running out the door, I delayed long enough to check them out. (I was a little late but I know you understand J).

Cruz came wearing a tailored electric-blue suit, lime shirt, orange stripped vest, wool scarf, and very cool shoes.

Kyu made his appearance in an Asian inspired teal jacket, patched blue jeans, red collared shirt, chunky knit sweater, and red/brown boots.

Love the guys! Not so much the fashions.

I managed to ditch their colorful togs without any complaints from them. While I suspect they were happy with their statement making fashions, they’re guys and didn't bother fussing over my sartorial preferences. Kyu also got a little reworking of his hair.

These guys have a new neck design, similar to Mattel Ken’s most recent one. Nice! It allows a better range of motion of the head.

A Little Torn (Redress) et Ma Petite Chaise (No. 12)

So, I’m up at 5:00 a.m. this morning, can’t sleep. Got my shipping notice yesterday for the DG London Calling Cruz and Kyu and I'm excited.

♫ ♪ THEY'RE COMING TODAY!  HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DANCE! ♫ ♪

Okay, I know I’m a little childishly exuberant, but that’s the way the boy dollies affect me. Besides, what's the good of being grown up if you can't be childish?

But, here’s the problem. I have a hair appointment this afternoon. I know these dolls are going to have to be signed for and I’m terrified I won’t be here when the UPS truck arrives. In the scheme of things, is missing a doll delivery seriously a serious problem? Well, sort of. IT pre-orders require a big box of patience, but these boys were held up by U.S. Customs for weeks so that box is now empty. I would reschedule my hair appointment but I have a party tomorrow night and I’d prefer to go without gray roots. I’m torn.

So, did some self-soothing. My adored pouty Giselle came out for a redress.

Harper, would it save you some time if I just gave up and went mad now?!

Golden Girl

No new dollies to report. It feels good to just be playing with a dolly who has been hanging around a while. (◕‿◕)

I chose All White Now Colette to do a little redressing. She was
stunning in her original white dress and bra, but with her warm skin tone and tawny hair, she shimmers equally beautifully in golden hues.

Colette is wearing a sweater and skirt by Clear-Lan, a FR bracelet,
shoes by ravenshaman, and earrings I picked up at the dollar store (yes, $1.00 earrings, but don’t tell Colette that. Ha-ha!).

Cheers!

2013 WClub Integrity Toys Online Unveiling Event #2

This past Saturday (March 30th) the very effervescent Carol Roth welcomed WClub members to Integrity Toy’s second 2013 on-line event. Three doll lines were unveiled along with a Club Doll.

First to be presented was the Poppy Parker line. The theme was “At The 1965 International Fair”.  These dolls are estimated to ship June 2013. Suggested Retail Price: $89.00 US

Irresistible in India

She has Latino skin tone.

Spicy in Spain
Poppy Parker™ Dressed Doll

She has normal Caucasian skin tone, a new screening with cat eyes, and dark blonde hair, which is a new color for Poppy. Gorgeous!

She has Japan skin tone and comes with a pair of ice skates. Her dress is one-piece.

Pretty in Polynesia
Poppy Parker™ Dressed Doll
Limited Edition of 750 Dolls

She has a warmer (slightly tanned) skin tone (same as used for Hot Dots Poppy). Her dark brown eyes have never been used for a Poppy previously. She has an incredible beaded necklace, and her sarong turns into a bathing suit. Just lovely.

Joyful in Japan
Poppy Parker™ Dressed Doll

She has Japan skin tone. She has a new screening, and she wears an incredible obi.

Second to be presented were Jem’s rivals - Roxy, Pizzazz, and Stormer of The Misfits. Hasbro and IT collaborated on The Misfit line (clothes, screening, instruments) to keep the girls true to the cartoon characters.

Third to be presented was the FR Classic line – These girls go back to the roots of Fashion Royalty. Although the facial screenings are new, they have a slightly retro vibe reminiscent of the early FR dolls. These dolls are estimated to ship late June / early July 2013. Suggested Retail Price $130 US

The final presentation was the Club doll, Dania Zarr. She is smoking hot in a leather jacket with portrait collar. The jacket is cinched at the waist with a red obi belt. I thought the shoes weren't fierce enough for this outfit, but then I’m getting old and am not always up-to-date on current fashions. Things I liked about the doll – the striking fashion, the eye color (green), and the eye make-up palette (smoky). Despite not being a collector of wispy-waist FRs, and not been fond of tanned platinum blondes with pale pink lips, there was just enough appeal that I ordered her.

Likely she’ll get a lip repaint when she arrives.

Cheers!
