She’s Not There is here

I’ve had to eat my words. After Poppy got tired of waiting for me she went shopping for a Nu.Face body to win me over.
 (Don’t think I am
unaware of who had
the audacity to show
Poppy where to find
my credit card for
that expensive
shopping excursion,
Harper!)

Anyway, the new body did the trick. Shoes and clothing fit so She’s Not There is here to stay. She’s set about finding a place to live and creating a life for herself.

Cheers!

Info:
She’s Not There Poppy Parker’s old body was caucasian skin tone. She was rebodied on Nu.Face caucasian skin tone replacement body sold by IT approx. 2011. IT is sold out but they can be picked up on the secondary market at extraordinarily inflated prices. (Harper doesn’t know it yet, but she won’t be getting a Christmas present this year.)

  2. So nice of Harper to help a girl in need. lol
Bunni looks fabulous, as do the rest of the girls. I keep hoping IT will have a new run of replacement bodies soon, though I still have a regular Caucasian bod that needs a head. Do you have a preference of NuFace over FR or Monogram bods?

    1. Harper doesn’t miss a beat, does she? lol

I keep hoping IT offers replacement bodies again soon, too. I wasn’t into collecting at that time so passed. Needless to say, I regret it big time now because I prefer Nu.Face bodies. I like the way clothes fit them. My second preference (running neck-in-neck at the moment) is Monogram and BOD. I am not a fan of wispy-waisted FR bodies, though I do have a couple that I plan to keep because of some nice FR fashions that fit them. What bodies do you favor and why?

    2. I'm rather partial to the FR2, just because there's a tad more pose-ability, plus I really like the breast shape. BOD runs a close second though. It's really a beautiful body for lingerie and midriff revealing clothing. NuFace is perfect for that youthful look and they seem to have more clothing options, but I find it a bit too slim at times. I agree about the overly-corseted look of the standard FR bod. It seems like it would be challenging to nip that waist in so tightly and I have to wonder why it's such a popular shape with doll manufacturers.

So... when do we get the next "Ma Petite Chaise"? ;)

    3. Ah, yes, the FR2s. Yummy creatures. Don’t know how I can keep resisting, but doing my best. I think BOD is my stand in for them, for, like you say, lingerie modeling. Just to clarify, I like Nu.Face because they’re easier to dress/fit. I also like the way they look, but I like the way the others look, too. I find all female body shapes, sizes, and ethnicity beautiful and acceptable. Except for those whispy-waisted FRs. LOL Have no idea why that has been popular with doll manufacturers!

Ma Petite Chaise... sssshhh... Harper, remember?

  4. I'm really glad Bunni got to stay around in a new life, a new town and a new body. I do so enjoy your dios! They're so beautiful and creative! As I've said before, you have such a great talent! And just to let you and CrystalCA know, I'll be posting my Christmas Winter Scene/card shortly on Doll Observers and Flickr...not sure about Facebook. It's Christmas greetings from some of the more prominent residents of Moreville! LOL I'll let you know when it's done. :-)

    1. Oh, you know it! Women with different personalities and lifestyles co-existing amidst frequent changes of moods and behavior in their roommates... Argh! What have I done?

Along those lines... I’m still chuckling over Amelia and Abby’s run in. Anyone who hasn’t seen this pair yet will delight in a visit to veronadollyworld.blogspot.com

  7. I don't know much about different doll bodies but she look great and so does the rest of the girls. Love the kitchen, can't wait to see the rest of the house. Guess Harper won't be on the nice list for Christmas but I'm sure she will find a way to get what she want.

  10. Bunni is lovely, but I'm nuts over your retake on the Lady In Red Erin. The Erins are my favorite face molds -- you could probably tell that by Skal and Nicolette. I really, really, want a Lady In Red Erin, but I don't have a character for her. Also, I has a broke.

Gah, I need to sell that house!

    1. I luv LIR, she was the best of 2012 (imho) so I feel really bad you don't have her. And I feel your pain re: the house. I had similar stress with my last home, I thought it would never sell.

    2. Well, considering the price I paid for Skal last year and what she's going for on eBay now, I'll just have to wait and the price will drop.

  13. I love absolutely everything about this. Your dioramas are amazing. Everything is scaled to perfection. Each doll has their very own personality which is reflected in their wardrobe choices. I love She's Not There on a taller body ... you may just have gotten me in trouble now!!! I'm glad she is staying and I am totally looking forward to more scenes. Extraordinary!!!

    1. Awesomely kind comments, thanks much. Bunni (formerly SNT Poppy) was content to switch to a new body in order to live at the Forest House. I was ecstatic... the Nu.Face body took her from cute to rockin’ (imo). I check your blog regularly so will be looking to see if you make any body switches to your Poppy(s). Good luck, it's a slippery slope. *evil dolly enabling friend chuckles*

  14. I apologize if this gets posted twice - the site seemed to not post the first one. I just had to make sure that you got my comments. This is one of the most extrordinary blog posts I've ever seen. Everything looks scaled perfectly - each doll has her own personality which is reflected in her wardrobe choices. I love SNT Poppy on a Nuface body - you may have gotten me in trouble on this one!!! I can't wait to see more. I am AMAZED!

    1. Thanks so much, R. Not sure what’s up with Blogger, but you aren’t the only one who posts twice because of this apparent problem. I usually delete the second post but posted yours because your generous comments have made my day. You can't see me but I'm sufficiently blushed over. *smiles*

  15. i do not know how it is possible to improve perfection, but you manage doing that , every new setting you make is even better than the insanely awesome previous one. I am in love with this house!
Poppy looks fabulous in her new body, i have rebodied all my poppies too, i think they instantly change personality, from cute little girls to serious beauties. Totally agree about the classic FR body, can't stand it, and trying to swap all i have, but it is a never ending process because every time i have a spair one instead of selling it, i see it as an opportunity to have one more doll at low cost and i buy a head to fill it,lol!
I am a FR2 body addict, and i would like all my girls to have one, if you decide to get one you should be warned that they are highly addictive, there is no coming back! much better poseability, awesome look in lingerie, fantastic clothes fitting, close to perfection. BOD, nu face and monogram are beautiful too, love them all equally and pair them according to the characters, NF and mono for a youthful look and BOD for a more sensual one. But with the FR2 you can have either one look, it depends on styling. I think thats why i love it so much, because of its versatility. Well i have to stop now before i end up writing Les Miserables in a comment post!
    Hugs from Greece!

    1. Hello Isis.
You are too kind - I am blushing under my blush. SMILES I am quite envious of your design/sewing skills and visit your photos often. I know what you mean about the FR2 body; your girls totally rock your fashions and you’re a genius at posing them. And the shoes!!! I am too scared to take a leap to FR2, I know you are right – they will be addicting. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry thinking of what would follow should I give in to temptation. But... Sighs...
