Lady in Red Erin, chop your hair off!

Lady in Red Erin arrived yesterday and I thought my heart had stopped! I am loving Erin’s new face mold but can’t believe how drastically different LIR Erin looks (in a really good way) from HEE Erin. I love that IT didn’t do the obvious and give her a strong red lipstick to match her red fashion. Her neutral makeup palette (eyes and lips) make her much more versatile for redressing and styling, and her forward-looking eyes, framed with luscious lashes, rank high on my preference list.

My only nitpick (there always has to be one, right?) is her hair. Not a fan of the crimped Rapunzel look.

Solution - straighten and shorten. Unfortunately, or fortunately as it actually turns out, no amount of boiling water would erase the crimping. But a serious trim loosened those crimps into delicious waves and she is now a complete heart stopper.

Work that hair, LIR Erin!

  1. Huge improvement! I'm having issues with HEE Erin's ponytail bump, after several boiling water baths. We're going to have to start coining the term "High Country Boil" for these gals.

    1. You made me chuckle, D. High Country Boil, it is! Perfect term. Ha-ha! Did you try pouring the boiling water straight down on the bump. I found that worked getting the bump to flatten out with my HEE Erin.

  2. Wow. Just wow.
I actually thought she was a bit bland looking (had a "meh"-reaction when I saw first pics), but you turned her into a stunning and really sexy beauty. I especially like the first pic - she looks wild! ;)

  3. Both thumbs up! The shorter hair does work better for her.

BTW, who's the beefcake ... um gentleman behind the bar? Just being snoopy ;-D

    1. Thanks so much. I'm tickled pink you approve. The fellow behind her is Lab Style K from the recent 2012 FR convention.

    1. Thanks so much, S. She's the one doll I had to have from the convention and I wasn’t disappointed. I appreciate your comment about the scissors because trimming an expensive doll’s hair is not for the faint of heart. I’m really jazzed you think it passed muster.

  11. What a difference! Her old hair almost seems too long for her. The new cut makes her look like she just had sweaty bedroom times.
