She’s Not There is here

I’ve had to eat my words. After Poppy got tired of waiting for me she went shopping for a Nu.Face body to win me over.
 (Don’t think I am
unaware of who had
the audacity to show
Poppy where to find
my credit card for
that expensive
shopping excursion,
Anyway, the new body did the trick. Shoes and clothing fit so She’s Not There is here to stay. She’s set about finding a place to live and creating a life for herself.

She’s Not There Poppy Parker’s old body was caucasian skin tone. She was rebodied on Nu.Face caucasian skin tone replacement body sold by IT approx. 2011. IT is sold out but they can be picked up on the secondary market at extraordinarily inflated prices. (Harper doesn’t know it yet, but she won’t be getting a Christmas present this year.)

Updating Norma Desmond

Early November IT announced they were releasing a Norma Desmond / Sunset Boulevard Commemorative Doll.

Commemorative dolls are not my thing but I love the Giselle sculpt and the Nu.Face body so much that I happily placed an order. Then IT announced the doll would not be coming on a Nu.Face body after all, but rather a BOD body.

Dang! Would I have the additional expense of rebodying this girl?

I adopted a wait-and-see attitude and am happy to report that once out of her period costume and with her hair softened she is a winner. imho. And she is rocking that BOD body!

I don’t collect Poppy Parker

I don’t collect Poppy. Never have, never will.

Besides not being a fan of the 50s/60s, I don’t care for her annoying ankle joint and big feet that don’t fit FR or Babs shoes. Her body is shorter, too. I just can’t justify amassing clothing and shoes for yet another body/foot type. So I don’t collect Poppy.

She’s Not There!

Home for Thanksgiving Dinner

Photo Styling Battle is a FR doll flickr group that has opened up a playground for doll redressing. There’s no voting or winning – the idea is to challenge each other’s creativity and to have fun.

The group's November challenge is to restyle either High End Envy Erin or Sweet Confection Poppy Parker using one of three theme options. I’m so enjoying the photos that are being added to the pool!

Here’s my entry - HEE Erin in the category “Home for Thanksgiving Dinner.”

Coat - Clear Lan
Purse - POM
Scarf - Mattel
Earrings and pin - Dollar Store
Bracelets - model’s own
Pie - Re-Ment
Door and Wreath - Nancy Colgar 2003
Window - Photo Frame

We Have A Winner!

The votes are in and we have a winner of the Randall Craig Summer Sun frock.

Thank you for your votes, everybody. It was a satisfying turnout and we appreciate you all.

Wallis, take your bow.

When Harper used the word “stunning” I should have taken her at her word. Sigh...

Can anyone recommend a good doll hair restorer?
